The UniChance Programme is designed to select 10 talented and promising students for the special scholarship of the Bank, on an annual basis. The selection is made by the Contest Panel of the Bank from among the students in the following fields of specialisation:

·Banking Business;

·Finances and Credits;

·Accountancy;

·Mathematics - Cybernetics.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the UniChance Programme, every student begins the daily probation in the assigned departments and services of Unibank immediately the scholarship disbursement agreement has been signed with such a student. In addition, the selected candidates will be trained and certified in all programmes run by Unitraining.

Only the 1^st and 2^nd year students that scored high on enrolment (500 points and more) are eligible for the scholarship. The candidates will be selected openly, on a contest basis and in the strict compliance with the requirements of the Bank. Each and every candidate shall fill in the special application form at the website of the Bank and then the Contest Panel will make the selection together with the concerned university and the Management Board of the Bank (7 members).

The Unichance Scholarship is awarded based on the contest outcomes and the panel’s decisions. It will be paid in the monthly instalments equalling AZN 100 over the period of 2 years. The students aspiring to the scholarship may not be in receipt of any other scholarship with the exception of the state scholarships.

The contest will be conducted in three phases as follows:

1) The written essay to be submitted for consideration of the Contest Panel;

2) T he internal testing by the HR Service of the Bank;

3) The candidates’ interview by the Contest Panel based on the outcomes of which the final decisions will be made.

It should be mentioned that the names of the candidates whose questionnaires the Panel does not select will be put in the stand-by list that will be resorted to in the event that any selected student drops off the list of candidates. Every applicant will be notified of the final decision of the Panel individually.

The HR Service of the Bank will be updating the information about the training progress and activity profiles of the students as well as collecting recommendations and references from the relevant employees of the students’ respective universities throughout the scholarship term.
